Residential Project in Jakarta

Resides away from the crowding center of Jakarta, this house was first intended to be a secondary domicile - a vacation home to stay in at the end of the busy week. That notion became the base from which the design process was elongated. Approaching this expectation by empathetically trying to understand what and how the house means for the family is a crucial step – or rather, allowing the house to eventually give them a new meaning, is what my design process aimed for.
